Sit-Com Six Word Story -

The world today is... busy and alive with people working

What makes me laugh is... the funny people I call friends

A message from someone you have not seen in years... why have you been gone so long

I received the message, my life changed

They can take my life but they can never take my... will to help the world change

For sale, baby shoes, never worn

Why are they for sale?
What gender/size are they?
Why were they never worn?
Who did they belong too?

Sit-Coms -

The inbetweeners: A 17 year old boy starting public school from private school finds himself in with a new set of friends and try's to fit into the new school setting. But ends out standing out a lot more than blending in.

Writer: Damon Beesley
Fact : He usually writes with his partner Iain Morris

Friday night dinner - A British Jewish family enjoying a regular dinner experience of every Friday night. Which is always interrupted by their neighbour Jim and his dog Wilson. Jim is attracted to the mum of the family and try's to show his love for her while her husband is with her.

I think I would work best in a team as I am not the best at writing, I think I would be able to make an idea but with someone's help.

Character that I like - Neil from The inbetweeners
I like this character because his personality is different from everyone else. He is slower and dumber than everyone else which makes him even more funny because it takes him longer to realise things and he says funny things at the wrong time.

My characters would be funny to with their very unique and funny personalities.

My Sit-Com Storyline –

The first episode will show the couple celebrating their joint birthdays, they have both set presents and balloons out for each other in the living room to celebrate for their birthdays. They spend the day together enjoying their birthdays. They are enjoying it until they get a call from their parents saying that they are coming over to celebrate their birthdays with them. The couple have to find a way to hide the different families from each other as the two separate families hate each other, this has been a problem the couple's whole lives, the families have never approved of them being best friends. When they come over the boy keeps his family celebrating in the living room while the girl keeps hers in the kitchen so that the families don’t see each other. They have to try and do this the entire time the parents are around their house. The twist would be that the parents end up seeing each other in the same house and end up having a big argument. The episode would show how the best friends have to try and keep the families apart and for them not to see each other when moving around the house. There would be a comedic mashup of near misses when the two families nearly come in contact with each other. The ending would be the best friends sending the parents home after the celebrating and then just sitting on the sofa while there is lots of rubbish and mess around them that they have to clean up.

Sit-COM Pitching Evaluation -

On Tuesday 22nd January 2019 I pitched my sit-com idea to the class and a panel of people who were going to choose the best ideas out of the class.

I had made a PowerPoint to show the audience my idea and how I would bring it to life, a few screenshots of the slides of my power point can be seen below.

I believe that my pitch went well, I spoke to the audience through my slides and explained my idea to them, I also talked about the characters in my sit-com and their backstories, locations that could be used to film and contingency plans to tell the audience what I would do if something were to go wrong.

If I were to do my pitch again i would change things such as including telling the audience my target audience so they can get an idea for the feel of the sit-com.

I really liked watching Anya's, Eden's, Laura's, and Conrad's pitch as I really liked their ideas.
